Sao Paolo in Brazil vibrated with the rhythm of the shows at the 38th edition of its fashion week which presented the 2015 winter collections. It was a rendez vous for the biggest Brazilian labels, looking to please the local market, especially the new young, and connected generation, but at the same time attracting international markets. The already well known labels continue to show with the ingredients that work, like Gisèle Bundchen - the queen of the catwalk, always present for her friends, the founders of the label Colcci. Just like Isabeli Fontana at Tufi Duek, who was inspired by the hit series Game of Thrones, but with a reworked very modern allure. At Osklen it’s all about the travellers wearing a wardrobe of essentials, whereas Triton plays with the heroes of STAR WARS but in a more rock style. Rightly so this stylized allure, a bit rock’n’roll, a bit streetwear is quite relevant to the creative brands. Like at Pat Pat’s, the label created by Andrea Viera, daughter of the celebrity designer Patricia and cousin of the Dellal girls. Or at Ellus who celebrates the street and the 80s all in colours that pop. At Amapô, the two designers looked like they wanted to wanted to surprise, even to shock…Whilst at Lolitta, it’s all about pleasing the Brazilian it-girls. And these Brazilians are also looking for the labels to offer them luxury pieces and more couture and certain designers do this very successfully. Like Pedro Lourenço and his new very 80s silhouette or Fernanda Yamamoto and her effects, using pleats, volume and structure. Finally at Wagner Kallieno, the mix of sportswear with chic bright materials which gives a great effect. A note to finish on, the presence of Versace who made the crowds go wild with a capsule collection destined to the celebrity chain Riachuelo which is sold in 220 shops in Brazil.
